The Hebrew Old Testament on CD-ROM. This CD-ROM contains the 1524-25 Daniel Bomberg edition of the Masoretic Text based on the tradition of Jacob ben Chayyim scanned into PDF. This edition is also known as the Second Rabbinic Bible. The books from which this edition was scanned contained ink spots and blemishes and the scan reproduced them.
This CD-ROM is important for two reasons: - It shows the actual Hebrew text examined by the KJV translators.
- It proves the errors in the corrupt Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, from which the NKJV, NIV, NASB, HCSB, ESV and all new bibles and current Hebrew lexicons were translated.
Please do not use this CD-ROM (or any other Greek or Hebrew edition, whether pure or corrupt) in conjunction with current lexicons, all of which are grossly corrupt. Currently printed Hebrew-English interlinears are also unsafe.
(This ancient Hebrew text, on which the KJV is based, has never been collated letter-by-letter, with the currently printed editions of the Masoretic text, that is, the British and Foreign Bible Society's Letteris edition or the TBS Ginsburg edition. The Jewish Encyclopedia.com notes that the Letteris text has "changes." Ginsburg, who was on the Westcott & Hort Revised Version committee, used other manuscripts, which may or may not be 'better manuscripts,' considering his authorship of books about the occult Kabala.)
